Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup mixed berry preserves
  • 1 egg, beaten for wash
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread the mixed berry preserves evenly over the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides.
  4. Mix the melted butter with vanilla extract, then brush over the preserves.
  5. Cut the pastry into 8 equal strips and twist each strip several times.
  6. Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush each twist with the beaten egg wash and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffy. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, ideally with whipped cream or a cup of coffee. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
