A fun twist on a classic favorite, these Cajun Chicken Sloppy Joes are packed with spicy flavors and made with ground chicken for a lighter meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until they are softened.
  2. Add the ground chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the Cajun seasoning, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer for about 10 minutes, or until everything is heated through.
  5. Serve the mixture on burger buns.

Notes

For an extra kick, add jalapeños or hot sauce. Leftover mixture can be stored in the fridge for up to three days.
