- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
- Parsley, chopped (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions in salty water.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Remove the steak and let it rest.
- Melt butter in the same skillet, add minced garlic, and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring until bubbling.
- Add parmesan cheese gradually, stirring to melt and season to taste.
- Return the cooked tortellini to the sauce and mix gently.
- Slice the rested steak and place on top of the tortellini, drizzling with sauce.
- Garnish with red pepper flakes, parsley, and cracked black pepper.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the steak before cooking. You can also substitute steak with grilled chicken or mushrooms for a vegetarian option.
