- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: other vegetables like carrots or green beans
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes, seasoned beef mixture, and any additional vegetables.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup over the layers.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
