Description
Delicious homemade pop tarts filled with a warm cinnamon brown sugar mixture, easy to make using storebought pie crust.

- 2 9-inch pie crusts (storebought)
- 1 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1–2 tbsp butter (melted, for filling)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for icing)
- 1 tbsp warm water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter in a bowl until it resembles slightly damp sand. Adjust with more melted butter if needed.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place one pie crust on it.
- Brush the crust with 1 tablespoon melted butter.
- Spread the filling on top of the crust, leaving a 1-inch border around the edge, and press gently to secure.
- Place the second crust on top, pressing the edges together, and crimp with a fork to seal.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown, rotating the pan halfway through if necessary.
- Cool for 1 hour before frosting.
- For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and warm water until smooth, then drizzle over cooled pop tarts.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. These pop tarts pair well with coffee or milk.
