- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)
- 1 Scotch bonnet pepper, sliced (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and thyme; cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in chopped cabbage and sliced Scotch bonnet pepper.
- Sauté until cabbage is tender yet crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, stir, and serve hot.
Notes
For extra spice, add more Scotch bonnet or hot sauce. For sweetness, try adding grated carrots while sautéing.
