Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In the first shallow dish, mix together breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In the second dish, beat the eggs with milk.
  4. Keep the flour in the third dish as is.
  5. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
  8. In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan with mozzarella and minced garlic, then spread over the chicken.
  9. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding panko breadcrumbs. Marinating the chicken in Italian dressing can enhance the flavor.
