- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In the first shallow dish, mix together breadcrumbs, half of the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In the second dish, beat the eggs with milk.
- Keep the flour in the third dish as is.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan with mozzarella and minced garlic, then spread over the chicken.
- Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
Notes
For extra crunch, consider adding panko breadcrumbs. Marinating the chicken in Italian dressing can enhance the flavor.
