Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 8 oz thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1/2 cup sweet corn
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or mirin
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and melt a small pat of butter.
  2. Arrange the cooked rice in the center of the skillet to create a mound.
  3. Place the thinly sliced beef around the rice along with the corn and chopped green onions.
  4. Add an extra dab of butter on top of the rice.
  5. Drizzle the garlic pepper sauce over the beef and rice, allowing it to bubble and caramelize.
  6. Mix everything together gently with chopsticks or a spatula, ensuring the beef cooks through and the sauce coats every bite.

Notes

For best results, use a heavy non-stick pan for even cooking and sizzling.
