Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage (Italian or your choice)
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: carrots or bell peppers, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add the sausage. Brown it while you break it apart with a spatula.
  4. Stir in the chopped cabbage and any extra vegetables. Cook until the cabbage wilts.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and stir to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Cook for another 5 minutes so the flavors meld and everything heats through.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

Use a large skillet to give the cabbage room to wilt and taste as you go to adjust flavors.
