Gooey, chocolatey Sourdough Discard S’mores Bars using your sourdough discard for a cozy, waste-reducing dessert you’ll love.
Ingredients
1 cup crushed graham crackers
1/2 cup sourdough discard
1/4 cup brown sugar
6 tbsp melted butter
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup marshmallows
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 pan with parchment.
2. Mix crushed graham crackers, brown sugar, sourdough discard, melted butter, and sea salt.
3. Press mixture into the pan evenly to form a crust.
4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the crust evenly.
5. Add a layer of marshmallows on top of the chocolate chips.
6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until edges are golden and marshmallows are puffed.
7. Broil for 1–2 minutes to toast marshmallows if desired.
8. Cool for 30 minutes, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Warm slices for 10–15 seconds to remelt chocolate when serving.
Add peanut butter or Nutella swirls for variation.
