Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or Italian)
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce (your choice)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: cooked vegetables (like bell peppers, mushrooms, or spinach)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  3. Cut the top off the loaf of bread and hollow out the inside, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, and any optional veggies to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  6. Fill the hollowed bread bowls with the spaghetti mixture. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Place the filled bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
