- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz ramen or lo mein noodles
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat, add chicken, and sear until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add sesame oil and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and optional chili flakes/sriracha. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse.
- Add chicken back to the pan with the sauce, toss in cooked noodles, and mix until coated.
- Cook together for an additional 2 minutes to combine flavors.
- Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
Notes
Pairs well with a side salad or spring rolls. Leftovers can be stored for 3-4 days in an airtight container.
