Description

A comforting bowl of sticky garlic chicken noodles, bringing warmth and flavor to your table with a sweet and savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 oz ramen or lo mein noodles
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes or 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat, add chicken, and sear until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add sesame oil and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and optional chili flakes/sriracha. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain and rinse.
  6. Add chicken back to the pan with the sauce, toss in cooked noodles, and mix until coated.
  7. Cook together for an additional 2 minutes to combine flavors.
  8. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

Pairs well with a side salad or spring rolls. Leftovers can be stored for 3-4 days in an airtight container.
