- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet. Cut it into squares or rectangles.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry piece. Top with the sliced strawberries.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create that beautiful Danish shape.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a lovely golden finish.
- Place the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
