- 1 package puff pastry sheets
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: additional powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a clean surface and cut them into squares.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Top each with a generous amount of chopped strawberries.
- Fold the corners of the pastry squares toward the center to form a pocket, and pinch the edges tightly to seal.
- Brush the danishes with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed warm, can be served with honey or whipped cream.
