Description

Delicious upside-down tarts featuring caramelized pears and a golden puff pastry crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pear (cored and thinly sliced)
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • Powdered sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the pear thinly and caramelize in a skillet with honey over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry to the same size as your skillet and lay it over the caramelized pears, tucking in the edges.
  4. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
  5. Let it cool for a few minutes, then flip onto a plate and dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.

Notes

Use ripe but firm pears for the best texture. For extra flavor, consider adding cinnamon, lemon zest, or vanilla extract.
