Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar (for rolling)
  • Cream cheese frosting (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mix. Stir until just combined. Fold in pecans if using.
  6. Scoop dough into balls and roll each ball in cinnamon sugar.
  7. Place them on the baking sheet and slightly flatten each dough ball with your hand.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges turn lightly golden. Let cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Once cool, drizzle with cream cheese frosting and enjoy.

Notes

For softer cookies, pull from the oven at 10 minutes. For a cakier texture, bake closer to 12 minutes. Store cooled cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
