Delicious and chewy sourdough discard granola bars that are easy to make and perfect for snacking.
Ingredients

- 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup nut butter or melted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, dried fruit, nuts, seeds, etc.
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 or 9×9 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl until combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan using the bottom of a measuring cup.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for 4-5 days at room temperature or up to 2 months in the freezer. Use parchment between layers to prevent sticking.
