Description

A creamy, delicious banana pudding layered with bananas, cookies, and a light whipped topping that feels like a hug and is perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla instant pudding mix (5.1 oz)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz whipped topping, thawed
  • 4 to 6 ripe bananas
  • 1 box vanilla wafers (or Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies)
  • Optional: a tiny pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk the cold milk and instant pudding mix for about 2 minutes until thick and smooth.
  2. Whisk in the sweetened condensed milk until creamy and glossy.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese in another bowl until smooth, then mix in the pudding mixture until blended.
  4. Fold in the whipped topping gently using a spatula.
  5. Layer the cookies on the bottom, then add banana slices, followed by a thick layer of the pudding cream. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, ending with pudding cream on top.

Notes

For best results, chill for at least 4 hours or overnight for a soft, scoopable texture. You can add fresh banana slices on top just before serving for added freshness.
