Description

Warm, cheesy, and mouthwatering Garlic Breadsticks, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour (+ more as needed)
  • 1.5 tsp instant yeast
  • 1.5 tsp fine sea salt
  • 2.25 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup salted dairy-free butter (softened)
  • 45 garlic cloves (grated or minced)
  • 1/2 Tbsp Italian parsley (minced + more for garnish)
  • 1 pinch dry oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, yeast, and salt in a stand mixer.
  2. Gradually add warm water while mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Switch to the dough hook and knead on low speed for about 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and cut it in half, then into 12 equal pieces.
  5. Roll each piece into 7-inch ropes and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Cover with a tea towel and let them rise for a couple of hours.
  7. Make the garlic butter by mixing the softened butter, garlic, Italian parsley, and oregano.
  8. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  9. Smear the garlic butter on each breadstick and sprinkle with sea salt before baking.
  10. Bake the breadsticks for about 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden.
  11. Serve warm with marinara sauce or olive oil for dipping.

Notes

Always use warm water for the yeast. Don’t rush the rising time.
