Description

Deliciously crunchy and sweet crisps made from sourdough discard, perfect for snacking or pairing with spreads.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup sourdough discard (unfed)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the sourdough discard and melted butter together until smooth.
  3. Spread the mixture thinly on the parchment using the back of a spoon.
  4. Combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl, then sprinkle it evenly over the mixture.
  5. Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes, rotating halfway, until golden and crisp.
  6. Let it cool completely, then snap into fun shards.

Notes

Serve with yogurt, alongside tea, or as a topping for ice cream. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
