- 100g sourdough starter
- 10g salt
Instructions
- Mix the bread flour and water until no dry flour remains. Let it rest for 30 minutes (autolyse).
- Add the sourdough starter and salt, mixing until well combined.
- Knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to its highest setting (usually around 500°F or 260°C).
- Divide the dough into 2-3 portions and shape each into a ball.
- Let the dough rest for another hour, covered.
- Roll out each dough ball on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Add your favorite toppings and bake on a preheated pizza stone or baking sheet for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
Notes
For a chewier crust, experiment with different hydration levels. Always ensure your sourdough starter is active for the best results.
